In addition to all the racing we're bringing you this week, we also hope you're aware of some other more recreational options.
One part of optimum performance is great fuel. We're lucky to be surrounded by a lot of great local farms and ag-related businesses. Some of these businesses have agreed to open their doors to SuperTour participants this week. Check out Andrew Johnson's brother Pete's farm (one of the largest organic producers in New England) with its new state of the art barn,
moveable green houses, and root cellar with climatic zones. Or check out maple syrup from Echo Hill Farm, amazing beer from Hill Farmstead Brewery in Greensboro and Rock Art in Morrisville, and of course tasty Vermont icons Cabot and Ben and Jerry's. Join us to celebrate the end of the competitive season with SuperTour racers, SuperTour sponsors, race volunteers and Craftsbury staff. Cash bar, lots of food (BBQ, wood-fired oven pizza, taco bar, wings and more) starting at 5:00, with a raffle to thank our amazing Volunteers at 6:30, right before local Americana/rootsy band the Radio Rangers takes the stage from 7-9pm, with DJ Luke spinning the tunes from 9 onward. It should be a great way to cap off the year, and your race entry includes your entry to the party!
Mud and Ice Quadrathlon
The fabled race is back on Sunday, April 1, resurrected by groomer Keith Woodward. $15 gets you in for 4 miles of running, a 4.5 mile paddle on the Black River, 12 miles on lovely Kingdom dirt roads in mud season, and 7.5k of skiing. DOR registration only, race start at 10am, registration about an hour before hand or so.
